TOURNAMENT’s Rules And Regulations

CM Sports Rules and Regulations

The Rules and Regulations listed below apply to all CM Sports basketball tournaments.

1. This Tournament will be a pool play format; top 2 teams in each pool moves on to playoffs. In the event of a tie – point differential will be the deciding factor on which team will move on to the finals.

2. Each team has five (5) time-outs per game (2) in the first half and (3) in the second half. These do not carry over into overtime. In overtime period, each team receives one (1) additional.

3. Penalty will be awarded on the 5th team foul.

4. Each team must have minimum of five (5) players at the start of game. If a team fails to do so, the game is defaulted after 10 minutes from scheduled start time. Teams are required to be present ½ hour prior to start of their designated game, as game times are only approximate times.

5. Any Player or Coach who receives 2 technical fouls in 1 game will NOT be allowed to continue to coach or play in that game and will have to sit out the next game.

6. Players may only participate on one team only. Any player caught playing on another team will result in the disqualification of such player and each team that he played with during the Tournament. NO REFUNDS!

7. All players MUST wear identical uniforms (jersey & shorts) with distinct numbers designated on the front or back. Absolutely NO T-Shirts will be allowed as uniforms.

8. Any players involved in any unsportsmanlike conduct or fights during the tournament will be ejected from the tournament. CM Sports reserves the right to eject any player, team or spectator for improper play or manner without refund. * CM Sports has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy regarding fighting and acts of violence.

9. Good sportsmanship is expected from all teams and spectators. Each head coach is responsible for the proper conduct of players, assistant coaches, bench personnel and spectators associated with the team, as well as his/her own conduct while participating in the tournament. Teams and/or spectators exhibiting inappropriate sporting behaviour or dissent directed at officials or tournament staff will be ejected from all games and tournaments.
